The Community Health Department is striving to keep up the Mission of St. Martha's Hospital, by Serving the Urban Slums in Bangalore City, who are the migrated & underprivileged sections of the Community.

- Training in Public Health.
- Net- Working / Collaboration - Public Private Partnership.
- Research Activities, in Public Health
RNTCP/DOTS Activities:
- Initiated during May 2000.
- Enrolled under RNTCP - NGO Scheme - IV -Designated Microscopy & Treatment Centre.
- Member of STOP TB WHO.
- Received Awards & Recognition from Govt. & other NGOs.
- Activities involve, documentation of TB Cases & Quality Sputum Microscopy, Short - term Supervised Chemotherapy - Cat - I, Cat - II, Cat - III & Follow - up, Referring out of TB Cases to the nearest Government Health Centre, etc. Reporting - Monthly, Quarterly & Annually to Dasappa TB Unit.
- Enrollment under RNTCP - Slum Scheme is under process.
